Stefano, Warner Announce Grant to Replace Fayette County Bridge

HARRISBURG – Sen. Pat Stefano (R-32) and Rep. Ryan Warner (R-Fayette) today announced the approval of a state grant for $213,900 to replace a Fayette County bridge has been awarded to the 32nd District through the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA).

Redstone Township received funding to replace the Main Street Bridge over Dunlap Creek in Orient. The structurally deficient bridge was built in the early 20th century.

“Ensuring the safety and security of our communities is always paramount. The bridge is in critical condition and serves as the sole route for vehicles to enter and exit a neighborhood housing a dozen families. Should it falter in its current condition, it would isolate those residents from vital emergency services when they may need it most. I’m grateful Rep. Warner and I were able to secure these funds for a long-term, reliable solution that keeps these Redstone Township families safe,” Stefano said.

“I was pleased to support this grant with Sen. Stefano to ensure affected residents in Redstone Township are able to safely and efficiently get where they need to go,” Warner said. “Investments like this in our transportation infrastructure are vital to the health and safety of our communities.”

The grant was awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority through its Multimodal Transportation Fund, which supports projects that ensure a safe and reliable system of transportation for Pennsylvania residents.
