CONNELLSVILLE – Sen. Pat Stefano (R-32) reminds constituents that his Connellsville district office will maintain usual operating hours throughout the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Crawford Avenue (McCray Robb) Bridge Rehabilitation Project.
“Though navigating downtown Connellsville may be a challenge in the upcoming months, I encourage constituents to keep the businesses on both sides of the bridge in mind throughout the course of this project,” Stefano said. “Our office hours will not change during construction.”
Constituents traveling to the office from West Crawford Avenue are encouraged to take the official, 1.7-mile detour on U.S. Route 119 North, and exit south on Pittsburgh Street.
The district office is located at 171 West Crawford Ave., Suite 2. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. To reach the office by phone, call 724-437-1105
Shuttle service is available for pedestrians who walk or bike the bridge. According to PennDOT, planned stops are on West Crawford Avenue at First Street and West Crawford Avenue at North Meadow Lane, which is across the street from Stefano’s office. For shuttle arrangements, call 724-317-1428.
The rehabilitation of the Crawford Avenue Bridge, also known as the McCray Robb Bridge, began on Tuesday, Jan. 9. According to PennDOT, roadwork is expected to last through late 2024. The project will add a shared-use path to the structure, allowing for safe pedestrian and bicycle access.
